Only Tide products were used as solutions for all stain issues — which means these may not be (probably are not) the best solutions to get out many of the stains types. On a few stain issues, I know better ways. Most of the direction say to have another go at it, if it didn't work properly the first time. Mostly it's a mix of: (step 1) water dilution; (step 2) soak in straight Tide liquid, apply a paste of Tide powder, use Tide-To-Go pen, or pre-soak in tub with Tide; (step 3) wash using Tide; (step 4) try it again before drying, if results were unsatisfactory. For one, I know that waterless lanolin-based hand cleaner (like mechanics use) works much more thoroughly, when applied directly, on petroleum-, oil-, and ink-based (even dried ink when worked in with an old toothbrush) stains. Also,... How can they not recommend using a _disinfecting_ liquid bleach on poop stains? God forbid the user would have to use any other product than Tide! My recommendation is to wash this app off of your device to clean up the space. This app is just another way to sell more Tide products. Download, if you must, but don't say I didn't warn you.

I was out in the garden the other day and ate a juicy tomato out of hand. Squoosh! All over the front of my nice summer top! Argh! Hot water or cold? Club soda, vinegar, baking soda or something else that might be in my cabinet? Well, Tide of course. I've been using Tide for many years. I downloaded the Stain Brain, found the instructions for salsa stains, followed the directions and now my top is respectable again. It's easy to find the instructions for the stain you want to eradicate, follow the directions and avert the tragedy of adding nice clothes to the "grungies" section of your closet.

Please update this app for iOS 9 and iPhone 6/6S.

Did you know that EVERY stain is removed by using Tide Liquid? I didn't ether! Yeah. What a marketing gimmick. But funny. LOL while removing it. Every stain? Tide Liquid?

Nothing scientific about this app. Just an advert for Tide every time.

I schlop black ink all over my shirt, stain brain tells me how to get rid of it right there and then from my mobile. My new year just gets better :)

Light colors in summer reflect stains. Tide stains saved me when I looked in a mirror and saw a stain from brushing up against a counter. The stain (salsa?) had set in and Tide helped me get 90% unnoticed. Got through the dinner meeting with the stain never noticed. Five stars

I am a kid and I wanted to see this app. It's funny poop stains!!! Lol. Anyways this app is not very good clorox my stain is better!! Ha ha ha but seriously clorox is better it had good ideas for more stains than tide so et clorox not tide

The latest version no longer has user recommendations. Apparently, P&G was losing business to suggested home remedies. Do not update from older version if possible.

Update removed the most useful feature -- tips from other customers. Don't even bother with this. Every stain just says to use tide. There. I saved you the time.

Why did u take the most useful part away. Purex has an app too! Guess I'll download it. I heard it was more helpful anyway

Won't use again until they put the viewer tips back up. Yes some were stupid like the person who used WD-40 and a bunch of other random stuff on a poop stain. But that also provided a good laugh factor.

This is a great and very handy App. Specialy when away from home or when accidents with food and beverages happen. (disclaimer: I'm a P&G employee, but this is my very personal opinion)

I'm giving up and deleting this app. When I first found it it was filled with customer cleaning suggestions as well. Tide switched it to Tide only solutions and now the app is useless. Everyone knows about pretreating with laundry soap. It was the other suggestions that made the app valuable. I had recommended this app but now I'm telling my friends to just delete it. Tide, u screwed up!

Almost every solution is the same. Why did they even bother with this app? Suggestions from real people who actually launder would be south more helpful. Barely deserves 1 star.

.......a guide for dealing with different types of stains, no more, no less. Not a miracle worker if you know what you're doing but as a former bachelor, I wish I had it back then.....would have saved a few shirts!!!! Worth the download, I mean really.....this or a reality game??!! Next time you have a stain to deal with, do you really think your virtual pet will tell you what to do??!! Go for it!!!! Tide has ruined the app by omitting community remedies. I think the app has become virtually useless because the solution is always the same soak in Tide / wash / inspect / soak again etc. I respected them more for posting additional remedies by users. I will be seeking an alternative app. Discouraged1

I expected a remedy followed by a Tide soak, etc. No matter what the stain, the solution is the same - soak in Tide. I expected that to some extent. But I expected that to be AFTER an actual remedy, such as cold water and meat tenderizer for blood stains. Silly app.

There is nothin to this app. Its a very minimal attempt at keeping Tide on your smartphone. Wish there were some more useful features.
