With and eye to adolescent development
I would give this App a rating of 4 stars out of 5 stars. The reason I didn’t give this App 5 stars is because the user can only rate their happiness and I think that this App has the potential to be even more useful with more emotions available to track. In addition, some of the graphs are a little difficult to read. However, over all I think that this App is developmentally appropriate for adolescents. This is in part because it interfaces with the three R’s of adolescents: the reward system, the relationship system, and the regulator system. Adolescents who use this App with the social media aspect enabled are obviously in the realm of the relationship system, but the mood rating aspect can also tap into the regulatory system by bringing their emotional processes to light. Lastly, the reward system is arguably incorporated when the user received positive feedback in the form of hugs and comments.
More of a web browser than a native app
Feels more like browsing the Internet than using a downloaded app. Screen constantly going blank as it loads the next page, dodgy scrolling, etc.
I like that I can see my mood on a graph. I don't like that using the web version is probably a more pleasant experience than using this app. Because of that, I deleted my account within minutes of signing up.

I really couldn't recommend this app more, it's an excellent way to monitor your mood daily as well as a way to get support from others about problems you may be having. You can tell people what's going on in your life and they can send you a hug or a message, offering support. This app would be great for many people suffering from mental health problems or even just anyone who is going through a rough time in their life.

It has never crashed once & she's been using it well over a year. Says it's a wonderful community with tons of great features that cover a wide range of stats. She definitely recommends it to anyone who wants to track their moods or find a terrific support group.

I have been using this app for over a year now and it is very helpful for keeping track of my mood. The MoodPanda community is very supportive and I have made lots of new friends from it! Good idea, poor design
I like the simple settings and basic idea behind updating and tracking your mood. However, the interface is confusing and low-res, and very slow. A cleaner design and speed improvements would make it a 4 or 5 star app.

App crashing
On iPhone 4s the app cannot be started it only started the first time and now it crashes at startup.

I'm on an iPhone 4s running iOS 7.1 and I can't even get the app to open as it keeps crashing.
Won't open
I haven't been able to use this app after the initial install. Disappointed. Looking for a replacement.
Rubbish
Fed up of registering mood and receiving the mood uploaded just to find out later that it hadn't. Shame it doesn't work.
Nice idea but buggy
It's a nice idea. Unfortunately the app is terribly buggy. It has numerous UI issues and it crashes a lot which need to be fixed urgently. It would be nice if it could be used to track more than just mood too - it'd be great if it also featured a gratitude diary, as well as a way to write a daily intention. Keeping a gratitude diary has bern demonstrated to improve mood so it would be a nice to see how one affects the other.
Buggy and privacy concerns
App does a reasonably good job of providing a simple mechanism to sample moods and track them over time. Four issues mar the execution.
1. Over-emphasis on social. Continuously returns to a feed of a bunch of strangers pouring their hearts out into twitter sized updates. Some of what they write is really concerning - like maybe they need to be calling a hotline and not tapping feelings into an app. I was surprised to find that public mode was on by default - every update I made was also being broadcast. It was easy to turn off, but I wonder how many of those people in my feed knew their emotions were on display.
2. I can't make updates without completely closing the app (double-tapping the home button and then swiping up to get it out of memory). It complains of not having an internet connection (always after typing a post, so I have to relaunch and re-enter the update). This problem extends to the web page, too.
3. Crashes. Not all the time but freezes up about once a day.
4. Uses every update to ask for money. I get this is free software, but I really would like to just pay once, dump all the social features, and stop getting nagged.
Fails a lot
About half the time after writing an update it won't post. Error code 'no internet connection' even though Internet is fine.
Room for improvement
Definitely great on graphs, data, as well as a supportive, anonymous community.
However, the app is a bit sluggish and everything feels just a bit cluttered.
Hopefully they'll be updates! Truly has a lot of potential!

Then the app crashed and every time after that I have tapped the icon to launch it, it immediately crashes.

I thought this was going to be a great app and then I downloaded it. This stupid pos crashes every time you try to open it after your initial use. So now these a$$holes have my email address.

Excellent app for monitoring mental health
I've been using the app for a couple of years now. I find it very useful for monitor my mood and the graphs help highlight patterns in my mood changes. I've taken the data along to therapy sessions which has proved useful for demonstrating how my mood fluctuates.
Awesome but crashes
Just got this app but so far I thinks is really sweet. The community is amazing, everyone is so kind. Easy to use however it does crash a lot. Either I can't get on the app or in the app then it crashes. Hope to see this fixed but an awesome app xxxx

Completely broken
First off, the app is sluggish, like loading a webpage on a dial up connection. Then, almost every time I try to open the app it immediately crashes.
I'm running iOS 7 on a 5s; so it's not likely an issue with my device.
LOVE it!
This app really is my second family. It has helped me through such tough times and I don't know what I would do with out it. I LOVE MOOD PANDA!!!! :D
Great idea, poor community
If you feel lonely and left out of social interaction, don't download this app. Even though it purports a social component, don't expect to get any support. It's as if current users are in a clique and only interact with each other. New users are ignored.
I was at a low mood before downloading this app and it's even lower now.
I suppose you can skip the social component, but that's the whole point of this app. It's quite depressing.

Disappointed
Clumsy clunky interface makes for an un-engaging user experience. Great idea... But many improvements needed.
Deceptively invasive
Nowhere does it tell you that your moods & journal entries will be posted on a public message board. If I wanted to share my private thoughts with someone other than my doctor, I would have selected the option to share this through social media websites, which I did not. This app is a terrible invasion of privacy.

Best mood diary I've found
Brilliant for CBT!
I have been going through cognitive behaviour therapy for anxiety and I have been using mood panda to track when I am most anxious! I find it completely invaluable in many situations and as part of my CBT! I have been using it online and now I can use this app on my iPhone - brilliant! Its great to look back and realise that my anxiety levels always taper off and when/how long it occurs. Waaay easier than writing it on my sheets! And it's free!

Mood Panda is a great little app, well designed and easy to use. I imagine for a medical log of your moods it's pretty perfect but it's also pretty good fun just to look back and have a record of things that happened and how it made you feel. It's like a mini journal on your phone. The integration into my other social media accounts was a great touch. Also, who doesn't like pandas? That's right. Nobody.

I have used mood panda for some time now so was really excited about the launch of the mood panda app. I haven't been disappointed! The app is really easy to use, taking just seconds to update my mood. Would recommend to anyone.

Fantastic App, just what I was looking for
I've been looking for something simple to monitor my mood swings as I've been really up and down for the past year. This app is so simple to us and I love the fact that when I'm feeling down, someone cares enough to send me a little 'hug' or even send a positive. It's little things like that which can really make the difference to your day.
Horribly social networked
Way too much unnerving emphasis on fb and twitter - very easy to inadvertently post to those. Could be a good app if it was not so bizarrely oriented to sharing every moment with one's social network

Not private!!
Not private! You may not realise at rat but all your posts are posted publicly for all users to see. I tried to change my privacy but this was not possible on the app, you have to log onto the website and even then it was impossible to figure out. I had to write to them to get them to change this. Still no response so my details are out there for all to see.
It's closely linked to twitter and Facebook so be careful you don't post your feelings to the world on Facebook by accident.
I would not use it had I known.

I love this app! It's so cute and easy to use. I wish there was a way to delete posts in your mood diary.
Easy to use.
I really like this app. It only takes a few seconds to update your mood and the graphs are very simple to read. I find that it's a great tool for keeping track of my bipolar.
Downsides - you need an internet connection for it to work and I would like to see a week long graph, rather than it jumping from 24 hours to 30 days.
Mood panda
This app is good for looking at your moods from a statistical point of view. But the layout is so basic, the whole app has so much more that could be done with it. Eg smiley (or frowny) faces to depict moods, better layout to be more visually appealing.. This app has a lot of potential, hopefully something more is done with it, or a better one is created!
Good App with Room for Improvement
So on the whim of a finished blog article mentioning Mood Panda I thought to give it a go and see how it works. I found it easy to navigate, simple to use and really cool when others commented on my mood updates. But if I was to make some extra suggestions I think the app would benefit from creating a broader spectrum of moods, not just happy and sad (maybe adding other moods ie. angry, confused, anxious) to give a more concise entry. Also with a diary comes remembering to enter into it, I had to program my iPhones alarm in three separate times to remember to enter in the Mood Panda, maybe it could have an automated reminder built into the app itself. All in all though this app is really cool, it has potential, now all that's needed it to tap into it and give it more for us to like.
Could be great...but it's not yet
Very glitchy app. Things don't open smoothly, app crashes a lot. Could provide links to helpful resources/distress tolerance exercises? Interface is a bit bland..room for improvement but fantastic concept!

Sends Me Numerous Emails Without My Permission
Neither the website, nor the app allows me to turn off email notifications. I'm bombarded with emails. They edit what I write about my mood, without notifying me.
Good idea
Got app because wanted a diary. And i really like how it tracks mood with grafts. Don't like AT ALL that it post on world graft what I write even thought I have both fb & twitter turned OFF. Then you get "hugs" sent to your email. Really??? I don't want a hug from some random person and I want my notes kept private!!!
So please turn off posting my private texts and it would then be a good app.
This was not what I thought it would be:
One night I thought I would see if by chance they had an app for dealing with depression. I was actually annoyed with what I found, iCrazy is a offensive name by the way. We all know most "free" apps are BS. This one actually surprised me. The 1st day I started I was having a very bad day. So I entered my mood and wrote why, not knowing it was going to be published to the other people using the app. I noticed. A little later on the app I had email and thought here we go these are the ads and upgrades. It was people sending me support and hugs. I have never thought there would be times in my life that the one thing to keep me going would be my iPhone but, if you suffer from Depression you need to try this app. On top of the support from other one of the coolest things is that it keeps a graph of your moods. That alone makes it worth getting. I love this App and have recommended it a lot of my friends who also could use a little more support in there life. It's amazing how a simple click from a stranger somewhere in the world can make you feel a little better. At the very least that you are not alone. Thank you so much for who ever came up with this app. You have helped me more then you will ever know!
Good but slow
Good app that has issues with being slow to change screens and post updates and comments (you'll see a lot of double-posted comments on the site because of people resubmitting their comments because it took so long). Active, friendly community. Ignore the reviewers who rated poorly regarding privacy -- you CAN opt in for complete privacy. It only posts to your Facebook and twitter if you link them and give it permission to. Derrrr.

The app is good for tracking moods, but however, when changing screens, it's lags, and then crashes. I'm currently looking for another mood app. It was worth the try.
Cute panda, glitchy app
I love the panda, it makes me want to love the app. But there are weird artifacts where half the screen is shaded and flickering. Also there is often a lag when changing screens.
I wish choosing my mood involved cute pictures of pandas showing each mood. I also wish I could get started without creating an account.
The app isn't very polished and doesn't have an iOS feel.

Glitchy but good community
It is a lovely, active and friendly community. I think this app could be top notch if the glitches were fixed. Commenting is a pain - it takes a while and then sometimes won't recognize that I am typing the first few tries. I have also commented on the wrong status before because it zooms in but takes you to the wrong box sometimes and you don't realize until after you've posted that it was on another random status. It is slow changing screens like the others said. Also, please allow for notifications - the panda community offers a lot of support and it is nice to be notified when that happens!
Off to a Good Start
This app still feels like a bit of a work in progress, but I am liking it so far. Great community!
Immediate Issues
Application home screen aesthetically pleasing but contained immediate issues. Within 15 seconds it had an error message as I attempted to sign in with Facebook (after allowing Mood Panda access etc.) and I had no use of app. Numerous attempts failed. Using Facebook email and password on application proved futile as well. Very unfortunate.
