I am new to dexcom share. Every time I try to sign in it kicks me out. If I am supposed to help my husband by being alerted then it’s a fail.

I had the app back in August 2016. Worked great then. Now I can’t even log in! Much less see any numbers. It’s a pity because I’m not even 100% this is the correct one for my G4. However I’m not going to re-download all the apps.

Yeah, there's a separate app for that too--- it's called follow--- and it to is buggy as hell, we can't really tell you when you'll get your data---maybe you will, eh maybe you won't---don't worry it's your cellular networks fault if you don't. Oh--- your doc needs to see your numbers and trend reports? Oh we've got ANOTHER separate app for that too--- dexcom sensors themselves are amazing in treating diabetes. However dexcom can now claim the title of DEATH BY 1,000 APPS. Integrate people.
 
Great app, view glucose trends on your phone 
Great upgrade to the first share system, now with portable sharing of glucose data on the go. Also the addition of the glucose trend screen is a very useful feature!
 
Needs a Today Widget 
If ever there were an application that needed a home screen today widget, it would be this one. This seems like a pretty obvious feature, so I hope it's on the roadmap. Also there is no iPhone 6 or 6+ support.

Crashing 
For the past few days this app is crashing.
 
If you like to publish your private medical data 
I did not quite see the hype about an app that allows you to see on your phone what your Dexcom already shows you, but I downloaded it to check it out. I did not go any further than the EULA which indicates that Dexcom gets access to all your data and can do whatever it chooses with it. That is a pretty clear HIPAA privacy law violation wrapped right into your user agreement. No thanks!
 
A good first try... 
Largest complaint is how clunky the app is. Did someone forget how nice I would be to copy and paste in a password because if you use nice and secure password made by a password generator it's going to be impossible. Adding people to share... It could have asked me to have access my contacts and I just click on there name. But nope you have to type them in and you still can't copy and paste in there email. You have to write the email down and then copy it in. Also can someone please enable the fingerprint reader so anyone with a 5s or 6 does not need to deal with the passwords. Why is my blood sugar data delayed for 3 hours from going to Apples heath app? I would like to see it in heath in real time... Lastly in terms of making a pretty app the setting and adding users should be hidden so after it'd done it's not there and in your way. Not trying to be mean but please play a bit of catch up in the app development. Its has the clunky style of something back from those iPhone 3 days.
 
Finally I can see my BG on my iPhone! 
It's a very basic app but it does the job. My only comments/questions are: Why can't you paste your password? I use a password manager so it's a giant hassle to have to type a long string of random numbers and letters every time that box pops up. Why can't it display an alert when blood sugar levels fall below or go above a specified limit? I have alerts enabled but I don't see any notifications--or are alerts only for followers? Why won't it work on iPad? I tried adding a follower who is using iPad and it wouldn't work. It may work if you sync directly with Bluetooth, but I don't know. I'm very grateful to have this new tool in my blood glucose monitoring arsenal, so please keep up development!
 
Love it, but it's also lacking... 
I love having the Share2 app along with Share being built into my receiver now. It helps having loved ones keeping an eye on things. However, I tend to lose connectivity a lot lately which is frustrating. One thing I wish the app had was a tab for the Daily Trends like Studio has (or even if it were in a separate Dexcom Studio app specifically for iPhone/iPad). It would help tremendously so I can make decisions without having to go to my computer each time - especially since the Health app that Apple has is VERY limited and won't let you customize your view of the BGs that are imported (upper/lower thresholds, etc).
 
Good but not great... 
The app looks better than the receiver and is easier to navigate. But my biggest complaint is that the Apple Watch app doesn't offer any complications so that I can add a current sugar level to the watch face. This is translates to a bit of pain bc I have to swipe up to glances to get the info. I also have to lock my Apple Watch to keep my info secure. So this feature (or lack thereof) pretty much makes the Apple Watch app useless. App also seems to have a bit of connectivity issues.
 
Don't buy to Dexcom for kids! 
The app doesn't work on iPod touch 3G. This is not a practical product for young children. The app doesn't alarm at all, highs or lows, on my iPhone. Apple is not upfront with product issues and refers to additional documents to where exclusion or issues occurs. Worst time, effort, preparation and hope spent on the Dexcom and then they want you to spend money on the latest phones/devices in order to get hi and low notifications.
 
Follow yourself 
For all the people upset that their phones don't alert them of high or low blood sugar, follow yourself. I set it up the same as my Dexcom receiver alerts. Works great, you just have to download the follow app.
 
Waiting for my Apple Watch in June? 
At 1:43 AM April 24 was able to view this update on Apple Watch App Store. This app on numerous occasions has awakened me and my wife at night to low blood sugar. Now waiting for my Apple Watch hopefully earlier than the forecast of June. This would be extremely helpful when driving when I frequently receive the signal of the receiver but have difficulty pulling it out or need to ask my wife to look at her iPhone to determine if I need to take action. The Apple Watch will enable me to quickly determine the action I need to take. Thank you Dexcom (!!!!!) I have been looking for something like this for many years.
 
3hr, 6hr, 12hr and 24hr views on watch? 
I love this app on my apple watch! Being able to see my glucose numbers at a glance on my wrist is priceless!! I even get high and low notifications by following myself. One suggestion for the next revision is to be able to switch between 3hr, 6hr, 12hr and 24hr views on the watch, same as you can do on the phone. The digital crown would be perfect for scrolling through those!

Amazing Technology 
How amazing is it to glance at your wrist for your BG? Some might not find this that revolutionary, but eventually Dexcom will phase out the receiver and the sensor will transmit straight to the iPhone/Watch. This will further simplify the devices and miscellaneous stuff diabetics carry around. Only suggestions would be turning the bezel for time periods; low/high alerts; and time indicator on the BG reading. Thank you Dexcom and Apple!!!!
 
Incomplete and ugly 
Very incomplete!!! Doesn't let user user enter data like bolus/carbs/exercise (like on the dexcom receiver). Doesn't give the option for the phone/watch give us a warning for high/low glucose or for calibration. Doesn't enable statistical visualization of data AND its appearance is just very ugly. Totally non professional. Looks like built by amateurs.
 
G4 + Watch + iPhone = Pure Awesomeness! 
So I got my dexcom a few weeks ago and in itself it have been amazing. With the share app my husband can see at anytime what my sugars are with the follow app. On to the watch... Just when you though it couldn't get better it does. I now have my blood sugars at the flick of my wrist. Once you call up the glance it takes but just a few seconds to update from the receiver. I have but a few recommendations that would be nice. First - update the app to iPhone 6+ resolution. Second - for the watch app being able to use the digital crown to zoom into 3,6,12,24 hour views would be great. Thank you for an amazing device and integration with iOS. These tools are making our lives so much easier to manage diabetes.
 
Dexcom +Share, iPhone, Apple Watch 
Just connected my devices to my upgraded Dexcom with Share easy to do. I too have some suggestions. I really would like to be able to set the alerts through my phone which would occur on my watch. The alerts are most important for me, so this is a need. The colors on the watch are really ugly, but this is just a personal opinion. Showing the time and 3-6-12-24 would be nice. I look forward to the future when the sensors can work directly with the iPhone and the receiver can be a thing of the past.
 
only app that does not allow pasting password 
Cannot use unless you have a simple password. Boo!!!!
 
Almost there 
Great app. Works well with Dexcom, but is only missing one thing- the user should be able to calibrate the Dexcom from their device that they have the app on.
 
Eh 
It never stays connected to the meter and takes about 10 minutes for you to be standing right next to the meter for it to reconnect. The idea is good, but it needs to run in the background and stay connected better.
 
So handy, could use more features/old features 
I love being able to see blood sugars on my phone. I miss not having a lag between it and Apple Health. Please remove the lag! Also, it would be handy to get notifications from the app. Right now I have shared it with myself, so I have the follow app too. Sometimes my Dexcom receiver is tucked away and the notifications on my phone really help.
 
Unreliable and too basic 
Crashes and disconnects *far* too often. A bit of a battery pig (10% on average). Starting to think it's not really worth the trouble.
 
App for watch need an Update 
APP FOR WATCH NEEDS AN UPDATE! We need to incorporate the feedback for allowing the crown to pivot time view (3, 6, 12, 24 hrs). This is basic stuff developers, come on!
 
Okay but could do more 
The concept of this app is great, but the lack of a low/high alarm is a bit frustrating. I'm sure that this is because of FDA regulation. Even still, it would be nice if I could eliminate any need to carry around the remote in my pocket.

Connection error bug 
Please kill this bug. At least once or twice a day I get an error message for "receiver not connected" prompting me to open the app to connect. Once you swipe the error, the phone opens the app and then crash. After opening again the app, it works fine for several hours before crashing again...
 
Won't stay connected :( 
I received my new receiver yesterday and was thrilled. I promptly set everything up and explained to my husband how reassuring this would be. He works nights and was worried that a night time low would be missed and untreated. I've lost consciousness 3 times in 2 weeks from hypoglycemic episodes in the middle of the night. The theory of SHARE is wonderful. The function of SHARE doesn't meet expectations of that technology. Receiver will not stay connected to my phone or his and requires resetting about every 15-30 minutes. Please, please, please fix this bug so it has better connectivity and delivers on it's promises.
 
Idea is great but doesn't work 
I love the idea of Share, but the receiver doesn't stay connected to my phone so really what's the point of it? Please fix whatever bug you need to fix so I can get the full benefit of Share.
 
Love the app! Wished it could write to lock screen! 
I love the app! Wished it could write to the lock screen!! Also, love the flexibility of follower alerts would love the alerts on the share2 app itself. I know that blood glucose is coming back to health kit please increase how often it writes to dashboard. Love the watch app as well. I would love to see the ability to show 6 12 and 24 with a roll of the crown (hopefully in the next rev) or the ability to add the BG and arrow to replace one of the corners on the configured watch faces... Thank you for the discrete functionality!!! It's my first configured glance only place better would be a corner on a watch face!!!
 
Almost there, with a few nitpicks 
Overall, pretty decent! Easier on battery than I thought it would be, ok interface, good feature set. Feature requests: - let me paste into the password field. I have a password manager. Not letting me paste is making me less secure, not more. - my provider is having trouble with the whole "share" thing. Better documentation would help me help them.
 
Great App + Suggestion 
This is a great app for all diabetics, you should also get the share follow app if you want anybody to be alerted if you are high or low. Suggestion: I think it would be very helpful if you could calibrate the CGM on the phone. Hope this helped!
 
Annoying and broken. 
Every time I open the app it has me enter the password. This is really annoying.
 
Great app but ... 
It often loses connection and you have to tap the status to reconnect. You think they are connected but they are not, missing important notifications. Can you make it where it notifies you if it loses connection with the receiver? Or maybe it attempts to reconnect more often when it loses Bluetooth connection?
 
Evolution of technology 
I started 30 years ago testing urine samples with a chemistry kit. No joke. So to have continuous data sent to my phone via Bluetooth is like magic. I love it. Thank you. Any chance the data can get pushed to the lock screen? It's almost easier to pull the normal receiver out of my pocket than to access data from the app when I want to check my number quickly.
 
Go get the watch! 
Having my blood sugar displayed on the Apple Watch is AMAZING! I use the watch setting that will "display last used app" rather than defaulting to the watch face, and with a simple turn of the wrist I know where I'm at! I'm checking much more often now- not because I need to but because it's so effortless. Get the watch and you won't be disappointed, it might be one of the best things, if not THE best thing you can do to track your levels.

Almost good enough 
After using for a couple days, here is my feedback: pretty good overall. App needs iPad support, App needs zoom and scroll, and some kind of history access beyond 24 hours. App needs support for landscape mode. App is reasonable for upload services, but I expect a lot for 1k US for the device associated, and software.

HORRIBLE does NOT work with iOS9 
Dexcom has yet to fix this app so it will work with iOS9. Absolutely unacceptable on their part as they didn't warn users of compatibility issues.
 
Many important features missing 
The app pretty much does the bare minimum to be acceptable (shows the same glucose data in the same timeframes you can see on the receiver) , and comes loaded with extra features which I find pointless (sharing your glucose to select followers.. creepy). There is one feature that would be life changing that I am hoping is on Dexcom's radar: being able to see your glucose levels on your apple watch's watch face. This is 100% possible using the watchOS 2 SDK. Secondarily, I hope there will be a robust array of settings for the various types of notifications the Dexcom system generated (low, high, out of range, etc.) and that we will be able to receive this on our wrists as we see fit. It would also be nice to actually view the ancillary data like food and insulin on the phone's interface. And a longer history, for that matter. Finally, ditch the cartoons. This is diabetes, not a children's book.
 
Needs more 
Needs more than just the trend graph. If I'm entering my insulin & carbs to my Dexcom, it would be very helpful to see this info on the app. It's crucial to know how much insulin you have on board. Too basic for a very needed medical app.
 
Doesn't work with new watch update 
The entire reason I got an Apple Watch was so I could monitor my glucose via this Dexcom follow app. It worked beautifully at first. I could quickly check my level by looking in the "glances" section of my watch. That ended the day I updated to the very first software update for the watch. I keep waiting for an update to the Dexcom app, as has been the case with numerous other third party watch apps. Not the case thus far. Come on Dexcom. This is important!!! Please fix this ASAP!!!!!

Unable to install watch app 
I loved this app, but the Oct 28 update works on phone, but the watch app doesn't ever finish "Installing..." Tried deleting and redownloading on both watch and phone, no luck. Help?
 
Not functioning after update 
If you're reading this and your system still works, DO NOT update the app. The last 2 updates have cut off all connectivity with share, prohibiting glucose levels to be monitored on my phone, watch, or being sent to any of my Share contacts. It says I have an invalid login, and when attempts are made to reset/fix my information, the app does nothing, and since there is no web interface in which to update this information, the app is the only option. Calling Dexcom for support I was only told it was Apples fault for updating their OS, but it worked fine for 3-4 days on the new OS, it wasn't until the app was updated that everything stopped working.
 
Update not functioning as well 
After the update, the app has connectivity issues and doesn't perform as well as the previous version. I did notice that there is no longer an option for background refresh for the app for whatever reason. Maybe that's the issue.

Just got my dexcom share device and the app won't open on my watch. Seems to work on my phone okay thus far. Please fix this!! I want to see my stuff on my watch!
 
Works great 
Works as described and uses very little data. Getting the G5 soon and I hope it works just as well! Gives my wife reassurance that my levels are ok and sends her alerts if I need help and/or snacks.

Great App 
This app is amazing and helpful all the time. If you have a Dexcom I highly recommend buying this app. But I think it could use a "need to calibrate" notification for the followers so my parents can see when I need to be calibrated as I often forget or ignore it. Please add this. 😊
 
Good, just don't update OS 
The app is nice when it works. Every time I install apple's frequent updates, this app is no longer supported and is useless. It takes a while for Dexcom to update their app.
 
Apple Watch 
With watch os 2.0 and the ability for third parties to be able to tie into the watch face I would think you guys would do that. So I didn't have to go to glances to see it. Blood sugar being immediately available once I look at the clock face would be the best thing that happened in life. Can you work on that please?
 
Dexcom G5 
Since the Dexcom G5 came out I have had nothing but issues with setting, pairing, lost signal, updates and Follow. I would hope Dexcom will get their act together and get input from actual users on the app design and how it can be more user friendly. One of the biggest issues is trying to get help from the technical support department. It is very frustrating to be on hold for hours when you need help. When you actually get connected to a person, in my experience they have no clue what your asking and how to help. Make the app more user friendly, show glucose level on the app without having to open, re-right instructions so they are up to date with phones and their product and hire an train their technical staff (especially the weekend staff)!

Useful. Could be more useful. 
I bought an Apple Watch specifically to use this app. I love having my blood sugar graph on my wrist where I can check it easily. I really wish the app could show my blood sugar as a complication on the watch face. That would make it perfect.
