AHP (Animal Health Plan) is a system for creating and managing animal health plans for farmers. Plans are created by veterinary practitioners for groups of animals for a stock class on a farm based on a template of tasks or on another plan. Tasks define: • the action to be performed • the date the task is due • a recommended product • instructions for performing the task. There is a farmer app (this one) and a vet app. In the farmer app you can view the plans for your farm and drill down to the tasks in the plan. The tasks provide instructions for performing the task and the product that is recommended. Reminders are sent to the farmer and other contacts for the farm when the tasks are becoming due. The farmer can update the task when it is done and add notes. Data is synchronised with the central AHP database when mobile or Wi-Fi coverage becomes available to your app. The AHP app for farmers is designed to run on phones. Vets use AHP via the VET AHP app which is designed for use on tablets. The apps are free. However to use the system, users require an account which is created only by veterinary practices registered with the system. There is an annual charge for practices for each farm participating. AHP is developed for and owned by Merial Ancare. less
