Bayer Australia Ltd's new 'Turf ID Guide' app provides detailed information on Turf Weeds, Turf Diseases and Turf Insects. High resolution photographs showing a magnified perspective of each weed, disease and insect, allows for easy identification. In the case where the turf problem cannot be easily identified, Bayer has provided an email address so that photographs can be sent to their Turf Consulting Manager for personalised identification. In addition, advice is given on the Situation, Occurrence and Treatment for each Turf problem. Bayer products are recommended and active Ingredients, rates, etc. listed.
This app is intended for use by Turf Managers, in particular, Golf Superintendants, however, it is also expected the wider community will also benefit.

Thought it would be a fun app to have! What a rip off! Five bucks for nothing but advertising for Bayer products! Now I know better not to waste money on dumb apps with no review wish I could get my $$$$ back
Elementary Guide
Are you serious. You have roughly 10 weeds in here......no Virginia Buttonweed......no nutsedge......no spurge. This is a complete waste of $ and a very amateur guide to promote Bayer Ag products. Get your act together Bayer and put some pertinent info in this app. It's says for GC Superintendents and turf managers; well I am one and find this app to be completely useless. UPDATE

This is great if you know absolutely nothing about turf, weeds and insects, but only want to gain a minuscule amount of knowledge on each subject.
Personally, I don't know much about either, but I do have a lawn with issues and I like learning. But even I can tell this app is severely lacking.
One more thing; I don't live Australia!
Why did you assume the only people who would download your app would live in Australia? You also sell products in America, and probably other countries as well, so why not have information pertaining to America or elsewhere?
Incomplete
This is a very basic ID app, and the feature to snap photos for ID confirmation is a neat idea (haven't tried it, as it seems only geared towards Australia). The biggest improvement that I think needs to made is in the "treatment" information. For all of the insects and diseases, Bayer products are listed that are labeled for the pest. However, there is no information about optimal application timing (i.e., preventative vs. curative, and when to apply these). The efficacy of chemical control is HIGHLY dependent on making the application during the correct life stage of the pest. There is a ton of research that goes into figuring out this information, and this app ignores that. Include application timing and insect/fungal life cycles to make this a four- or five-star app.
