VisionCheck is a free application designed to provide education and awareness about eye health, particularly for users with diabetes, at home or on the go. Users answer questions and the educational information that appears is based on the choices they select. The application includes three vision tests: The Tumbling "E" Test, The Tumbling Shape Test, and The Amsler Grid Test. The causes, symptoms, and effects of three common diabetic eye diseases, such as Glaucoma, Cataracts and Diabetic Retinopathy, are also provided by VisionCheck. Users are encouraged to contact their eye care professional if they have questions or concerns. This application is not intended to provide a diagnosis and all users should visit their eye doctor for a full examination.
I get an internet error when trying to use it. Apparently the server is no longer around.
Does not work
I downloaded the app to my phone, agreed to the user agreement, created a user name and then it says no internet connection? Hey, I just downloaded it to my phone and I haven't moved an inch!
No grid
App did not work correctly. Amsler grid did not even show up.

I found this self administered eye test to be very easy to use and full of facts about the impact diabetes can have on your eye sight. I really liked the beautiful illustrations of the eye and what can happen to your eye as a result of diabetes. There are several different eye tests that you can take that were actually fun! If you or a family member have diabetes, I strongly recommend this app... and it's FREE.
