Awesome use of genetics and storytelling to create a super addictive new kind of puzzle and world!

I can't stop playing this game. And I never play games. Beware if you download it all other priorities may drop off. Plus I love the noises. Nice.

This was fun! Last level is super hard, watch out. Kept me entertained for a while.

The game is based on the principle of maximum parsimony as a method for identifying potential ancestral traits and therefore identifying the potential origin mutant muenster. Parsimony reconstruction finds ancestral states that minimize the number of steps of species change/mutation given a phylogenetic tree. A full parsimony reconstruction therefore requires a search of both the most efficient tree structure, as well as the most efficient ancestral path along the tree. So the game mechanic is the exact same as the real-world method used in genetic research. The game abstracts 3 traits of imaginary cheese specimens visually with unique visual representations (shape, lines, nodes). Your job is to reconstruct the phylogenetic tree based on the species sample in as few of moves (mutations) as possible. That's brilliant.

So much fun. Feels like a brand new kind of game that I've never played before. Great job!

When I first started I was confused but then i suddenly quickly became addicted to finding the strain.

I've really enjoyed playing this game! It is addictive. Very clever intersection between science and gaming. Love the storyline!

A gripping wonderful game with intelligent play. A few recommendations to the developers: make the ending animation as compelling as the first, it's a lot of effort and silence to get to the end! And add in more levels, even paid levels. I know this was meant as an educational game for genetics, but this can really become a new form of gaming that I think people can become hooked on. Really loved it, thank you!
