Venous thromboembolism (VTE) is an allegory of Evidence Based Medicine. There is no talk of diagnosis or prognosis, but of diagnostic and prognostic strategies. These are based on the use of clinical prediction scales and algorithms derived from scientific evidence of higher quality and collected in the main Clinical Practice Guidelines. In addition, treatment of this entity, anticoagulation, includes drugs that are considered high risk, which requires proper prescription, based on the characteristics of the event, the drug itself and also patient.
The application you are about to use is intended as a tool to help making diagnostic, therapeutic and prognostic decisions in patients with suspected or confirmed diagnosis of VTE.
We expect you to be as helpful as possible and, above all, help increase quality of care and clinical safety, in the care of patients with ETV.
